• Who can participate?

  Kids ages 6–15 are welcome to join, no matter their fishing experience. This tournament is all about fun, learning, and community! Out-of-state participants are also allowed.

• When and where is the tournament?
  📍 Location: Casco Bay, Portland, Maine

  📅 Date: August 9th, 2025
  More details about check-in and timing will be emailed to all registered participants.

• What are the divisions?

  🎣 Shore Division – Fish from land, docks, or piers
  🛥️ Boat Division – Fish from a motorized or non-motorized boat
  Each division will award prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place based on the longest fish caught.

• What kind of fish are we targeting?

  We're fishing for striped bass—catch and release only.

• What should my child bring?

  • Fishing rod and reel

  • Bait or lures (we’ll share tips if needed!)

  • Life jacket (required for Boat Division)

  • Water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray

  • Towel or chair (optional)

• Is adult supervision required?

  Yes. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the event. Safety first!

• How are fish measured?

  • Fish must be photographed on the official measuring board provided at check-in

  • Judges will confirm all lengths

  • All fish will be safely released after measurement

• Is there a cost to participate?

  Nope! This tournament is 100% free to enter.

• Will kids receive anything for joining?

  Yes!

• What happens if it rains?

  We’ll have a designated rain date (to be announced). All updates will be posted on Instagram and sent via email.
